Author Guidelines

Authors are requested to follow the following guidelines to minimize desk rejections, standardize manuscript formats, and streamline review process.

1. Types of Submissions

For all types of submissions, authors are requested to read the “Aims & Scope of IJBTT” and clearly state how their research fits the scope of IJBTT.

Research Article (4,000–5,000 words): Research articles present original, empirical research that provides novel insights, breakthroughs, or methodologies to the field. These manuscripts must follow the strict structure as stated in this section (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion), offering full methodological details and robust data analysis. Authors should ground their study in a comprehensive literature context, making this format best suited for complete studies with definitive conclusions and strong theoretical frameworks.

Review Article (2,500–4,000 words): Review Articles synthesize, evaluate, and summarize existing literature to provide a high-level overview of a specific, current topic. Unlike empirical papers, these manuscripts are organized by thematic subheadings, focusing on identifying research gaps and resolving conflicting data. Authors should offer a balanced critical analysis of the field and suggest future research directions without introducing new, unpublished data.

Case Study (2,000–3,000 words): Case Studies examine a specific, real-world instance, individual, organization, or isolated phenomenon to highlight unique challenges and practical outcomes. The narrative structure includes a concise introduction, a detailed case description, the interventions or methodologies used, and actionable lessons learned. Literature reviews should be kept brief in this format to maximize the focus on the subject's practical details and broader industry or clinical applications.

2. Manuscript Structure

Authors are required to submit THREE separate files:

1) Title page (with abstract and keywords), and

2) Main Body (without author/s name and abstract for complete anonymity)

3) Plagiarism Report (with less than 15% similarity score)

· Title Page: Require a concise title, full author names, institutional affiliations, and author emails. Only one affiliation per author. Abstract and 4-5 Keywords. Structure

of Abstract: Not more than 250 words; Structured by the following headings - Scope/Novelty; Purpose/Objective; Theoretical underpinnings; Methods; Results/Findings; Limitations/Implications.

· Main Body: Should NOT contain any author related information for anonymity. Sequence of headings/subheadings - Introduction, Purpose/Objective, Literature Review, Hypotheses, Framework/Model, Methodology, Results and Findings, Discussion, Implications (Theoretical/Practical), Limitations, Conclusion, List of References, Appendix (questionnaire). Figures and Tables should be placed where appropriate within the text/paragraphs. Figures and tables should be editable with proper numbers and source.

3. Formatting Style

Authors are requested to follow these formatting styles with utmost care.

· Times New Roman, size 12, single line spacing with normal 1-inch margins, no indenting, all paragraphs should be left aligned, all figures and tables should be center aligned and editable, with number and source,

· Citation Style: APA 7 ed.

4. Publication Ethics & Disclosures

· Conflicts of Interest: Mandate disclosures of all funding sources, stocks, or consulting fees.

· Ethical Approval: Require Institutional Review Board (IRB) or ethical committee approval statements for human/animal studies, as applicable in their country/institution.

· Plagiarism Policy: State similarity score and a brief report to prove that the manuscript is screened using plagiarism-detection software.

· Originality: Require a statement confirming the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.

5. Submission Checklist & Workflow

· Cover Letter: Require an opening letter to Editor-in-Chief of IJBTT explaining the novelty and fit of the research to IJBTT.

· Submission of THREE files: authors should upload a blinded manuscript (for double-anonymous reviews) alongside a separate title page with abstract and a plagiarism report.
